چکیده

Background: One of the most crucial parts any operation is postoperative monitoring and management. Numerous clinical strategies for administering analgesic drugs have been developed to reduce pain in patients. High opioid doses before, during, after surgery might cause respiratory depression, sleepiness, nausea, vomiting, itching, difficulties urinating, ileus. Most surgeries maxillo-mandibular fixation (locked jaw). In early period, ventilatory depression vomiting are common that’s why this study focuses on two types drug intervention measures effects. Objective: To evaluate efficacy bupivacaine inferior alveolar nerve block vs intra-venous tramadol (opioid) control. Study Design: Prospective, randomized control trial Setting: The was conducted Jinnah Hospital, Lahore from 6 April 2022 October 2022. Methodology: non-probability sampling technique used recruit Patient aged between 18 – 40 years with simple mandibular parasymphyis fracture included study. However, patients diabetes, ischemic heart disease & bone diseases were excluded divided into groups. group received while other (opioid). patient calculated using Visual Analog Scoring system. frequency recorded postoperatively 0-3hrs, 3-6hrs, 6-12hrs, 12-24hrs. data analyzed by SPSS version 22. Results: Fifty-two recruited randomly assigned group, there no significant differences groups terms demographic including age, gender, BMI mean time (P>0.05) as shown table 1. Category Pain Scale (VAS) significanlty reduced both more decline observed 12hrs 24hrs 4.46±0.64 2.27±1.00 respectively. addition, a repeated-measures ANOVA utilized VAS ratings groups, revealing that values considerably lower than those 16 24 hours (P=0.001 P=0.000, respectively). Practical implication: study's justification dearth local or regional information topic. Therefore, objective research effectiveness intravenously against parasymphysis fractures. Conclusion: conclusion, 2mL.5% Injection Bupivacaine (1:200000) administered at site fractures area post-operation relieved somatic wound better without major side Thus, infiltration over section incision recommended safe efficient post-operative pain. Submucous tramadol increases the anesthetic efficacy of mepivacaine with epinephrine in inferior alveolar nerve block.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of submucous tramadol as adjuvant of mepivacaine with epinephrine in inferior alveolar nerve block. A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, crossover clinical trial was conducted. Twenty healthy young volunteers were randomized into two treatment sequences using a series of random numbers. Sequence 1: Group A, 2% mepivacaine with 1:10...
